The boulder outcrop behind the restored chapel. Dave and Rich for scale!

Grid Reference: SX202847

Park at the church in St. Clether. Walk past the church and through the churchyard in a NW direction following the path which leads to the restored chapel and holy well. Three small buttresses, which hold some shorter routes, are passed before the chapel.

Beyond the chapel is a small broken outcrop which provides some friendly bouldering and a couple of routes. Beyond this an overgrown lump presents itself but skirt the bottom of this and the most significant part of St. Clether Crag is revealed.

The face forms a suntrap alcove with the most obvious features being, from the left: a broken buttress, a steep 25’ wall covered in generous pockets, a corner groove, an arĂȘte and the face itself.
