Dodman Point holds a few climbs that are generally typical of climbing on the south Cornish coast – ie. they’re adventurous and loose! Atypically for this coast though, the cliffs are over 350ft high.
To reach Dodman Point, drive south from St. Austell. You’ll need your road map – use it to find the small village of Penare. Here you can park-up and take the footpath south onto the headland with the obvious monument. Head left here to descend to the upper part of the cliffs, or continue down the gully to reach the lower tier.
